At that glorious age, we just don't yet know how much we don't know. I receive actual thank you notes from my students for assigning this senior citizen interview project. Now that I’ve gotten you really excited about this project, you may be expecting your kids to feel excited about this, too. Eventually this morphed into a binder that included my grandmother’s answers, my family’s special personal memories, photos, and recipes compiled as a gift for my grandmother for Christmas.

Most sixteen-year-olds, even the most diligent and scholarly, might choose sleeping, eating, or dating over writing a detailed literary analysis for English class, and I understand this. Listening to her interact with her grandfather was incredibly engaging.I never considered keeping an ongoing report of how much work I've assigned over the years.But I do have a fairly accurate idea of how many students have Nobody likes homework, especially when the skills that are being practiced may not always seem relevant to a teenager’s life in the present.Then suddenly this neglected skill becomes a very important component of assignments in the upper elementary grades.Creative writing assignments require a tot of time, not only from the student but from the teacher as well, who must grade for content, grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
