A persuasive essay is a piece of writing that attempts to convince the readers to agree with author’s ideas.

In this type of essay, the writer can use his own ideas, opinions and evoke the emotions in the reader in order to convince them to agree to his opinion.

According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, the number of kids who suffer the conditions has increased to 60% over the last decade just because the kids are allowed to buy soda and other sugary drinks in school. However, more importantly, sugary drinks should not be sold in school because of three major issues; obesity risks, uncontrolled behaviors, and caffeine disturbances.

Kids who take excessive sugary drinks are at risk of becoming obese.

A writer of a persuasive essay needs to do research, gather evidence, but a clever writer can create a successful essay without knowing much.

This is because; a persuasive writing appeals more to readers’ emotions rather than minds. In persuasive writing, the writer should have certain awareness about the audience. For example, opinions and ideas that could appeal to teenagers may not have the same effect on adults. For example, if the topic is about taking an insect diet, you can start by saying: “Say goodbye to chicken and fish and prepare yourself for crickets.” • The background– This requires you to give some basics about your hook.Simply, answer why you have decided to talk about the subject.Clearly, a simple argumentative essay should have 5 paragraphs. The Introduction The introduction is supposed to inform the reader beforehand what your position is in as far as the topic is concerned. It includes three main things: • The hook– This is the first sentence in the introduction that is meant to capture the attention of the reader.According to the World Health Organization, a single bottle of soda has at least 18 tablespoons of sugar. This is too much for the school going kids to digest or assimilate into the body.In the long run, it contributes to fast weight gain. For example, if you were addressing our initial topic, you can explain why most people don’t eat crickets and refute their views by arguing why it’s misguided.Your Conclusion The last paragraph of your argumentative essay should accomplish these two major tasks: • Restate your introduction – to confirm that you agree with the thesis.
